Locality:Roberts Level Mine, Moanataiari Valley, Thames, North Island, New Zealand
Description:Mounted specimen of tan-colored platy barite crystals to 2 mm almost completely coating a 23 mm gray-metallic stibnite crystal on large translucent yellow barite crystals to 6 mm. Mining in this area started in 1852. Mounted by Jules Bernhardt (1918-2005); acquired in May 1982 from D. McGraw
