Mineral:Analcime with pseudomorphic cavities after Pectolite
Locality:Millington Quarry, Bernards Township, Somerset County, New Jersey
Description:Large lustrous translucent white analcime crystals to 55 mm with unusual V-shaped and concave cavities where the analcime grew over another mineral, apparently pectolite, then the pectolite dissolved. Micros of chamosite, goethite, etc. are in crevices. Collected ca. 1995. This quarry is now closed forever and reclaimed
