Description:Large lustrous transparent Herkimer Diamond crystal, the doubly-terminated variety of quartz from the Herkimer region, that has slightly smoky color caused by sub-microscopic hydrocarbon inclusions. Though flawed, large portions are flawless. Collected 28 July 1996
