Locality:Biedell Creek Quartz Prospects, Crystal Hill, 12.5 km northwest of La Garita, Saguache County, Colorado
Description:Several lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystals with many negative crystal cavities (crystal-shaped hollow voids) and white inclusions. The quartz crystals have three dominant prism faces and three-faced pyramidal termination faces. Collected ca. 1975. This quartz outcrop was completely excavated by open pit mining ca. 1983.
