Description:Lustrous translucent green datolite crystals lining the interior of a cylindrical cavity. These datolite cavities formed where bubbles were frozen in the basalt, allowing room for crystal development, and usually had domed tops (missing on this specimen) Collected May 1993. This quarry is now closed forever and reclaimed
