Locality: | Houdaille Quarry (Consolidated Quarry), Little Falls Twp., north of Montclair State University, Essex County, New Jersey |
Description: | Many well defined brown quartz pseudomorphs after prismatic anhydrite crystals to 30 mm with overgrowth of transparent colorless calcite crystals to 2 mm. Anhydrite formed first, was coated with quartz, anhydrite dissolved, calcite grew last. Collected ca. 1980 |
