Locality:O and G Industries Southbury Quarry, Southbury, New Haven County, Connecticut
Description:Lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystal epimorph after a 24 mm anhydrite crystal. The anhydrite crystallized first, then was overgrown with quartz crystals. Then the anhydrite dissolved leaving a hollow mold in the shape of the crystal. Originally acquired from William (Bill) Barrett (1924-2018) in 1995
