Mineral:Quartz pseudomorph after Anhydrite
Locality:Bennett Prospect, Southbury, New Haven County, Connecticut
Description:Elongated quartz epimorphs after anhydrite crystals to 9 mm with many hollow molds visible on the underside. The anhydrite crystallized first, was overgrown with quartz crystals, then the anhydrite dissolved. From a one-time find during home construction Collected by William (Bill) Barrett (1924-2018) ca. 1992
