Mineral:Hematite pseudomorphs after Siderite over Microcline
Locality:Lake George District, Park County, Colorado
Description:Large cluster of dark gray-metallic hematite pseudomorphs after rhombohedral siderite crystals to 15 mm over limonite-stained microcline. The siderite crystallized first, then altered to hematite, maintaining the original siderite rhombic shape.
