Description: | Large lustrous transparent pale-yellow calcite crystal with remnants of datolite microcrystals in areas where it was attached. The calcite crystal is rhombohedral form with secondary edge faces with linear patterns on the faces. Smaller crystals on side. The calcite fluoresces pink-orange under SW UV and white under LW UV illumination. Collected 17 December 1995. |
