Mineral:Garnet in phyllite (demonstrating differential weathering)
Locality:Raymond, Cumberland County, Maine
Description:Silvery foliated phyllite formation with small garnet on the surfaces. The garnet being harder resulted in the phyllite eroding faster than the garnet (example differential weathering). From my personal collection
