Locality:Keweenaw Peninsula Copper District, Michigan
Description:Polished dome-shaped cabochon of a datolite nodule that has pink core color caused by microscopic hematite and copper inclusions. These datolite nodules are unique to the Keweenaw Peninsula and highly sought by local collectors, especially pinks. From my personal collection, originally acquired from Hal Kramer; collected ca. 1980
