Description: | Vivid pink-violet ruby crystal, the pink gem variety of the mineral corundum, fully crystallized on all faces with a small attachment point on one corner. The surfaces of the ruby crystal are lustrous with minimal alluvial wear. Weight: 8.46 carats. The ruby crystal fluoresces red under LW UV illumination. Originally acquired from D. Blauwet ca. 1990 |
