Description: | Lustrous transparent-to-translucent gray calcite crystals to 23 mm on datolite. The largest calcite crystal is three-sided scalenohedral form with surfaces composed of small parallel scalenohedral faces giving them a satin-like luster. The calcite fluoresces orange under LW-SW UV illumination. Collected 22 October 1995. |
