Locality:Mogok District, 115 km NNE of Mandalay, Mandalay Division, Myanmar (Burma)
Description:Large lustrous translucent red-pink ruby crystal, the pink gem variety of the mineral species corundum, with no matrix. The ruby crystal is tapered hexagonal form, with striated crystallization patterns on the faces. Good deep color in the upper third. Fluoresces red under LW UV illumination. Weight: 7.8 grams
