Description:Thin fragment of lustrous transparent pink Padparadscha sapphire crystal, the gem variety of corundum named for the resemblance to a lotus flower (from Sanskrit padma ranga; padma = lotus; ranga = color), with mottled crystallization surface patterns. Weight: 7.40 carats (1.48 grams)
