Locality:Paraíba do Norte, Brazil
Description:Lustrous translucent purplish-blue sapphire crystal, the gem variety of the mineral corundum, with no attached matrix. The sapphire crystal is tabular (flattened) hexagonal form with remnants of light-colored matrix on the outer faces. Good color. Fluoresces red under LW UV illumination. Weight: 2.8 grams
