Mineral:Corundum var. Ruby
Locality:Vietnam
Description:Lustrous transparent-to-translucent red-pink ruby crystal, the pink gem variety of the mineral corundum, with rounded water-worn edges. The ruby crystal is elongated hexagonal form with concave impressions from matrix that dissolved away. Fluoresces red under LW UV illumination. Weight: 0.5 grams
