Locality:Winza, Mpwapwa District, Dodoma, Tanzania
Description:Lustrous translucent medium-red ruby crystal, the red gem variety of the mineral corundum, with scattered surface inclusions of tan matrix. The ruby crystal is hexagonal form with good luster. Edges show minor alluvial wear. Fluoresces red under SW-LW UV illumination. Weight: 0.8 grams
