Mineral:Fluorapatite in Albite with Muscovite
Locality:Hayes Ledge, Noyes Mountain, Greenwood, Oxford County, Maine
Description:Large (for this location) doubly terminated translucent green fluorapatite crystal in platy white albite and silvery muscovite with a smaller fluorapatite crystal on site. The fluorapatite crystal is hexagonal form with flat basal pinacoid terminations. Collected by J. Morse. The fluorapatite fluoresces orange under SW UV illumination
