| Description: | Sparkling cluster of lustrous transparent medium-purple amethyst quartz crystals over greenish basalt. Note the pseudomorphic impression of an anhydrite crystal that dissolved away leaving a cavity. Amethyst of this quality was uncommon at this quarry. Collected in 1980s to 1990s by Prof. Martin Becker |
