Locality:Mount Eve, Warwick, Orange County, New York
Description:Coarsely crystallized quartz pegmatite with a rectangular 8 mm black allanite crystals visible on the surface. Though no analysis has been performed, it is likely this is the Cerium-rich species: Allanite-(Ce). Acquired from B. Plotkin; ex. Rutgers College collection; donated by George W. Vanderhoef (1859 - 1947) (facsimile label)
