Mineral:Schorl Tourmaline with Hyalite Opal
Locality:Erongo Mountains, 20 km north of Usakos, Damaraland, Namibia
Description:Tapered cluster of lustrous black schorl tourmaline crystals, with sub-parallel flat terminations on the upper end. Crusts of beige hyalite opal fluoresce bright green under LW-SW ultraviolet illumination. Ex. Jack Troy (1930-2016) collection #T38; originally acquired in 1986 from C. Queit
