Description: | Lustrous translucent red-brown almandine garnet crystal with many parallel dodecahedral faces and remnants of quartz in crevices. These garnet nodules are found in a local alluvial deposit, and are split open to reveal the almandine crystals inside. Ex. Robert Patak collection |
