Locality:Eastern Rock Products Quarry (Benchmark Quarry), St. Johnsville, Montgomery County, New York
Description:Translucent golden yellow-brown calcite crystal 50 mm across with complex faces and remnants of gray sulfides and white dolomite included where the calcite was attached. The calcite has phantom growth zones of metallic marcasite inclusions to 1 mm. Ex. Miller #M3607. See article: Marcasite Inclusions in Calcite from St. Johnsville in Mineral News v.17 #6.
