Locality:Brown Derby Mine, Quartz Creek District, 12.3 km SW of Pitkin, Gunnison County, Colorado
Description:Onion-shaped formation 20 mm high of purple lepidolite mica in gray quartz. The lepidolite is complete all around and has a silky surface luster caused by the platy mica structure. Ex. Miller #M3211; ex. Betts #68290; ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #436, collected in the 1970s
