Locality:Lane's Quarry, Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts
Description:Lustrous black babingtonite partial crystals on a plate of thin pale-purple amethystine quartz pseudomorphs after rhombic calcite crystals. The calcite formed first, were overgrown by small quartz crystals, then the calcite dissolved leaving molds. Ex. Miller #M3585, collected by Eric Greene #SIL-349
