Mineral:Sphalerite (lamellar twinned) with minor Calcite
Locality:Mid-Continent Mine, Treece, Cherokee County, Kansas
Description:Lustrous brown-black sphalerite crystals to 34 mm with an 8 mm transparent yellow calcite crystal on the bottom edge. The sphalerite crystals are lamellar twinned, and have parallel crystallization patterns on the surfaces. Ex. Fratto collection #236; ex. Harry Sering (1924-2000)
