Mineral:Spinel in marble with Phlogopite
Locality:Mayote Mine, Mahenge, Morogoro Region, Tanzania
Description:Lustrous translucent deep-pink octahedral spinel crystals to 24 mm, in translucent gray marble, with a 13 mm translucent golden phlogopite mica crystal. The spinel crystals fluoresce red under SW-LW UV, the phlogopite fluoresces yellow under SW UV.
