Description: | Lustrous translucent pink calcite crystals in 25 mm spherical formation over brown manganese ore. The calcite crystals are colored pink by manganese, causing them to fluoresce orange under LW-SW UV illumination, commonly known as manganoan calcite. Ex. Marshall Sussman; new find in 2021 |
