Locality:Route 9 road cut at Beaver Meadow Road, Haddam, Middlesex County, Connecticut
Description:Unusually large specimen (for this old locality) with many large visible patches to 20 mm of blue iolite, the transparent blue gem variety of the mineral cordierite, with fans of lustrous black anthophyllite crystals to 15 mm in feldspar with pyrite. Ex. S. Kelland collection; ex. Alvin Fogg (1908-1994) collection (Poughkeepsie, NY)
