Locality:1st Oxide Zone, Upper Level, Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia
Description:Well-defined green malachite pseudomorphs after blocky, rectangular azurite crystals to 25 mm. The azurite crystals formed first, then altered molecule by molecule to malachite, while maintaining the original azurite shape. Pseudomorph = false form. Ex. Georg Gebhard (author of Tsumeb I and Tsumeb II, the definitive reference books on the Tsumeb Mine)
