Locality:Red Embers Mine, Erving, Franklin County, Massachusetts
Description:Lustrous translucent dark-red almandine garnet crystal with 1.87 carat faceted gemstone from the same mine. The almandine crystal is trapezohedral form, with slightly striated crystal faces, and exhibits red translucency when illuminated from the rear. Ex. Miller collection T2440; acquired from E. Greene in 2014
Overall Size:7 mm crystal; 6.5 mm gem
