Mineral:Corundum var. Ruby in Zoisite
Locality:Longido, Arusha, Tanzania
Description:Hexagonal ruby crystals, the pink-red gem variety of the mineral corundum, surrounded by translucent green zoisite. The ruby crystals have vivid pink-red color which contrasts nicely off the green zoisite. Fluoresces red under LW UV illumination.
Overall Size:40x38x20 mm
Crystals:15-20 mm
