Description: | Classic specimen of Desert Rose: bladed gypsum crystals in a spherical aggregate. The gypsum crystals are translucent brown color due to sand inclusions. The outer edges on half of the gypsum formation are white where the gypsum dehydrated. Fluoresces white under UV illumination. Ex. Miller collection T1766; collected ca. 1970 |
