Mineral:Quartz with Calcite casts
Locality:Road construction site, Farmington, Connecticut
Description:A one-time find of milky quartz crystals in unique formations. Thin casts of calcite crystals penetrate the quartz. Reddish color caused by limonite stains. Collected in 1967 by a construction worker. From my personal collection.
