Mineral:Quartz epimorph over Calcite
Locality:Mount Baldwin, Mono County, California
Description:Plate of white pseudomorphs (epimorphs) to 4.5 cm of milky quartz after calcite. Several epimorphs are incomplete showing the thin inner cavity where the calcite had been. The largest plate I have ever seen from this unusual locality.
