Description:Several lustrous black-metallic franklinite crystals to 12 mm in a rhombic gray calcite cleavage that fluoresces orange under UV illumination. The franklinite crystals exhibit rare dodecahedral form - most franklinite forms octahedral crystals. Ex. Rock Currier (1940-2015) Collection #8621; ex. Robert Trimingham (1937-2013) No. T-17802; ex. Eula Short, author of One by One column in Mineralogist magazine (1960s)
