|Below is a gallery of Crystallized
Celestine specimens for sale from John Betts - Fine Minerals in New
York City, NY. Celestine was formerly labeled as celestite in an attempt
to make the name sound scientific and consistent with other mineral names,
but the name was changed back to celestine in recognition of hundreds of
years of use of that name. Included in this gallery are celestine crystals
from assorted locations in Canada, Madagascar, Italy, Ohio, Illinois, New
York. Celestine is a strontium sulfate and occurs frequently in midwestern
limestone deposits. To purchase mineral specimens, go to the
Online order form.
