CABINET MINERALS
Cabinet-sized minerals (>6cm across)
The minerals in this group are larger, and therefore often perceived as more
valuable or more precious than other minerals. These are appropriate for
collectors that like larger minerals, and have the room in their display
cases for this size. The minerals were selected for their exemplary color,
crystal size, and uncommon localities.

MINIATURES
Choice miniature-sized minerals
Miniature minerals are larger than thumbnail size (>2.5 cm)
yet smaller than the minerals above. Miniature minerals offer high quality
at affordable prices. Many collectors restrict their collections to
miniature minerals (like I do, because I live in NYC where space at
home is at a premium). These miniature minerals were selected for unusual
localities, uncommon mineral species, or unique crystallization
habits that will make them special in any collectors display cabinets.

THUMBNAILS
Thumbnail-sized specimens mounted in Perky-style display boxes
Thumbnail minerals are defined as fitting inside an imaginary one inch (25
mm) cube. Their small size does not mean they are not as desirable. Perfect
minerals, with no visible damage, are often only obtainable in
thumbnail-sized specimens. Thumbnail minerals will come mounted in clear-topped
display boxes, known as Perky boxes, that make for easy handling and protection
from damage, which makes them good for
young collectors. The thumbnail minerals below were selected for classic
localities, desirable mineral species, and uncommon occurrences.
